Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and CosmoNim ("CosmoNim", "we", "us" or "our"), operated from India. They apply to CosmoNim.com, our mobile and web apps, and every related feature — including the AI astrologer Nim, the human-astrologer marketplace, the spiritual store, paid consultations and pooja bookings. By creating an account, accessing or using any part of the platform, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and transact on CosmoNim. If you are below 18, you may use the platform only under the supervision and with the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf and remains responsible for your activity, including any payments. We may require age confirmation and may suspend accounts that we reasonably believe belong to ineligible users.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use CosmoNim. These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy, which are incorporated here by reference.

CosmoNim is an AI-powered astrology platform. Our AI astrologer, Nim, generates readings grounded in your birth chart — calculated from the birth details you provide — and you can chat with Nim in English or Hindi. Alongside Nim, we offer astrology tools, a marketplace where you can consult independent human astrologers, a spiritual store, and pooja booking services.

Nim is transparently an artificial intelligence. Nim never claims to be a human and is not a licensed counsellor, doctor, lawyer or financial adviser. Where you want a human perspective, our marketplace connects you to real astrologers who practise independently, on a per-minute paid basis. To use most features you need a CosmoNim account. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information — including your contact details and birth details (date, exact time and place of birth). Accurate birth details directly affect the quality of your chart and Nim's readings, so we encourage you to enter them carefully. How we handle this information is explained in our Privacy Policy, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account, including wallet spending, store orders, consultations and pooja bookings. If you notice any unauthorised use of your account, please notify our support team promptly so that we can help secure it.

One person should maintain only one personal account, except where a Family plan expressly permits linked profiles. You must not share, sell or transfer your account, or impersonate any other person while using CosmoNim.

CosmoNim uses a prepaid wallet that holds your balance in paise. You can top up your wallet and then spend from it on per-minute consultations with human astrologers, pooja bookings and other eligible services. Per-minute consultations are billed in real time against your wallet balance, so we recommend keeping enough balance before you begin a session; a session may end automatically when your balance runs out.

We offer subscription plans — Free, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Family — each with its own features and limits as described at the point of purchase. Paid subscriptions renew and are charged according to the billing cycle you select, until you cancel. The spiritual store sells physical and digital items such as gemstones, rudraksha, yantra, books and remedy kits, which are subject to availability, shipping timelines and the product details shown at checkout.

All payments are processed securely through Razorpay. Prices shown include 18% GST where applicable, in accordance with Indian tax law, and a tax breakdown is provided on your invoice. By making a payment you authorise CosmoNim and Razorpay to charge the applicable amount. Eligibility for refunds, cancellations and wallet adjustments is governed by our Refund Policy.

We want CosmoNim to be a safe, respectful and trustworthy space. You agree to use the platform lawfully and in good faith, and not to misuse Nim, our tools, the marketplace, the store or any consultation. Conduct that harms other users, our astrologers or CosmoNim is not permitted.

We may remove content, restrict features, or take other reasonable action if your activity breaches these Terms or applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made under it.

The CosmoNim platform — including Nim, our software, chart-calculation logic, designs, branding, text, graphics and the look and feel of the product — is owned by CosmoNim or our licensors and is protected by Indian and international intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use CosmoNim for your own personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You retain ownership of your own birth data and the content you submit, such as your birth details and chat messages. By using CosmoNim, you grant us the permission needed to process this data so we can calculate your chart, generate Nim's readings and provide the services you request, as detailed in our Privacy Policy. The readings, reports and remedies generated for you are licensed to you for your personal use; you may not republish, resell or commercially exploit them, or CosmoNim's content, without our written permission.

Our marketplace lets you consult human astrologers who are independent practitioners, not employees of CosmoNim. We provide the platform that connects you, handles scheduling and processes payments through your wallet, but each astrologer is responsible for their own advice, conduct and professional standards. The views shared by an astrologer are their own and do not represent CosmoNim.

Consultations are charged on a per-minute basis and settled from your wallet. From the amounts you pay, CosmoNim retains a platform service fee and pays the remainder to the astrologer (for context, our standard arrangement is a 70/30 split in the astrologer's favour, which may vary by programme). While we take reasonable steps to onboard genuine practitioners, we do not guarantee any specific outcome, accuracy or result from a consultation, and disputes about the advice itself are primarily between you and the astrologer. Our support team can help mediate service issues, and refund eligibility follows our Refund Policy.

Astrology on CosmoNim is offered for guidance, self-reflection, planning and entertainment. It is not a science, and it is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial or psychological advice. You should always consult a qualified professional for important decisions affecting your health, money, legal position or wellbeing, and you remain solely responsible for the choices you make based on any reading.

Nim is an artificial intelligence. It generates readings from your birth chart and may sometimes be inaccurate, incomplete or simply wrong, like any AI system; it is not a human astrologer, doctor, lawyer, counsellor or financial adviser. Please do not treat Nim's responses as professional advice or as a crisis service. If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, contact a qualified professional or local emergency services immediately. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, CosmoNim provides the platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any decision you take based on a reading, an AI response, an astrologer's advice, a store product or a pooja booking. Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Where we are found liable despite the above, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the platform will not exceed the amount you actually paid to CosmoNim for the specific service giving rise to the claim during the three (3) months before the claim arose. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CosmoNim and its team from any claims, losses or expenses arising out of your misuse of the platform, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

You may stop using CosmoNim or close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access — with notice where practicable — if you breach these Terms, misuse the platform, or where required by law. On termination, your right to use the platform ends, though provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) will continue to apply. Any remaining wallet balance is handled in line with our Refund Policy and applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features, pricing or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of CosmoNim after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India shall have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under Indian law. For questions, complaints or grievances about the service or these Terms, please contact our support team through the in-app help section or the support email listed on CosmoNim.com; we aim to respond within the timelines set out under applicable Indian law.
